OBLIVION is the continuation of a series that shows my artistic interpretation of the Anthropocene to emphasize the urgency of environmental issues. A number of digital sculptures and scenes will be created reflecting different aspects of the concept, each addressing a particular ecological concern. In my work, I often play with an unsettling sense of the uncanny that can cause haunting or unnerving sensations when humans see familiar scenes or figures that have been twisted or distorted in an unsettling and unnatural way. By creating an unnatural fusion of human bodies and elements of nature, I am providing viewers with something they can relate to, and perhaps even make the artwork world seem real enough that the terror depicted in it could be part of our lives.
